Double-clutch question

Okay, heres a stupid question. How exactly do you double-clutch? I know the theory behind it, but I don't know exactly how to do it. I'm just getting sick of granny-shiftin when challenged by a crap-box at a light...and losing.

You only double clutch to downshift, not to drag.

and you only double clutch in auto cross not street racing

double clutching is a huge waste of time...
it wont help you out while racing...
it was originally used for top fuel cars.. not hondas :)

Thanks for clearing that up. Least now I know its not my shifting style.

ChrisCantSkate 05-12-2002 09:04 PM

the idea in strait forward racing is to keep you rpm's as high as possible and to be in gear the longest time possible. so know your shift points and get from gear to gear and the clutch back out as fast as possible.
