ok i was looking at a website dont remember which one and they said that the 97-98 type r did not have a/c well if thats true then it would be faster than the 2000 type r or is the website wrong

I wasn't aware that ANY type r's have ever had a/c.....definetely the 97-98's didn't, but I didn't think the 00's had it either.

true the 97-98 did not have a/c...the 00's however do have a/c the still lay the same hp numbers though

The reason they have the same hp numbers is that manufacturers rate hp at the flywheel rather than the wheels, before any parasitic drag. However, the 97-98, lacking a/c, would put down more power to the wheels.
