muffler

hey wassup guys.. look I got an accord v6 and I'm looking for a muffler system for my car. don't rank on me.. I dont' want my warranty to go out because I changed catback. any brands you guys know that gives good deep tone... not too loud but noticeable

I would try a greddy evo exhaust system, good quality, and around $500, if your not willing to spend the cash yet, just get a good muffler, and have a muffler shop run 2.25-3" pipe to the cat , it is kind of like a homemade cat back, should cost about $250-300.

I wasn't hoping on getting a catback or else greddy evo would be my choice. I was just hoping there was a brand name out there that sold JUST mufflers so I could just get that tone out of my rear end. If I take it into a muffler place, tehy would prob mold on a universal kit correct? taht's something I don't want to do. thanks for your responses

I have a flowmaster right now, and had a r1 racing muffler, the r1 racing muffler had a high pitch noise when on the gas. Then i switched to my flowmaster and it is deep all the time I would highly reccommend it. cost about $100 depending on what tip ya get.

well if you want to have custom piping make sure that the pipe will be mandrel bent, rather than crushed pipe. and for the price you pay for it ask them to put stainless steel piupe too. it might be a bit more but it will save you a lot of money in the long run

you can add an axel back for your car.... but i dont see how theres really a point in putting that in if your getting no gains from it.... you can put that money somewhere else to make it nicer...

Also consider the MagnaFlow mufflers.. They sound great and are guarantied for life. The construction quality is exceptional and not too expensive..

If you want something really nice, look into Remus.. Black mufflers with chrome tips.. Man they're so hot..
I'll probably be getting one with these tips

2 of these mufflers on your car would looke awesome..
The only things is that they're expensive. Cant tell you how much cause I live up in Canada..

hey, finally someone with flowmaster! i had posted in the prelude forum about this, but no one was really fond of the idea. what series do u have?

LDJ 04-29-2002 10:52 PM

It is a 50 series, I got a great deal on it and had to get it, I have one on my ford truck as well, I think they are great performing mufflers, and have no interior noise which is great. My old racing muffler was mass loud in the interior.

Honda_Gurl 04-30-2002 01:48 PM

hey LDJ, i was thinking of the 60, but u say u like the 50? it's not too loud? i heard the soundclip of the 50 on their site, but it was on a cruiser, so i don't know how it'd sound on my car.

LDJ 05-01-2002 12:53 AM

I just checked, my truck is a 50 series flowmaster, and my car is a dynomax.

Honda_Gurl 05-03-2002 11:16 AM

dang, so then u don't have flowmaster on your car?? what kinda truck do u have btw?

LDJ 05-05-2002 08:47 PM

It says flowmaster on the muffler, so I don't no really what it is, I got it off a wrecked 97' accord, it was just put on the car a week before the guy wrecked. My truck is a 94' F150 4X4, used just to haul around my Quads!
