suspension setup for hybrid
hey guys... i need some help on picking out my springs and shocks...
the car is a 93 civic 4dr with a b18c1... i want about a 2 inch drop with a comfortable ride... i don't really want to adjust my ride height so coilovers aren't really worth the extra expense... thanks, jovial |
i don't know about good springs that will drop 2" and still maintaining a comfy ride. i would definitelly look into some kony yellows and either eibach sportline or some neuspeed springs. i think you don't have too much of extra weight from the b18 do u ?

good points...
i'll look into the koni's and neuspeeds... maybe a 1 inch drop would be alright... do you think i'll need a camber kit also? |
usually you don't need a chamber kit for drops up to 1.5, but you are going to find out when you take the car for an alignament

Nuespeed, H&R, Eibach.... there are many companies that make decent springs. 2 inches is pretty low, youll may even run into some problems with wheel rubbing, especially if your running larger wheels with incorrect offset and tire size.
As for a camber kit, cars react to lowering differently, one could be lowered 1 inch and need a camber kit, while the other is lowered 2 inches and doesnt need a camber kit. My suggestion would be, after you lower it take it to get it aligned, if they say you need a camber kit then you should probably by one, or buy a set that way if you need it its there. If you dont then sell it.;) |
