sweet car! I like very much:)

Impact23 10-11-2001 04:43 PM

nice car. We have a few of those in our crew. (Greddy turbo'd Si's). They are nice but you need to crank up the boost a little on them to get them moving. Did you get all the trimmings with it? Intercooler, BOV,Injectors, Turbo Timer? It is a nice setup.

toykilla 10-28-2001 10:49 AM

what times are you getting with the turbo'd SI?? SI's are pretty fast without a turbo, how much of an improvment does it give ya??

SPEED 10-28-2001 12:19 PM

is there any chance that we could run em next spring;)

whodatt1 10-29-2001 02:23 PM

Right now this Turbo is in its baby stage. I dont even have a boost controller. I have run it at LACR Palmdale, CA and the best time was a 15.1 which pretty much sucks. That track is pretty hard to get a good time though with the high elevation and heavy winds, but I definately need a tune and boost control.

I did meet up with a girl there who also has a 99/2000 Si with the same Greddy kit but hers was tuned and boosting 7.5lbs. She is running mid 13's. Thats pretty sweet for only 7.5lbs on a stock B16A2 motor.

So I am looking to get mine tuned and hopefully I should see better times.

I see Si's with I/H/E running 16's and some running high 15's but thats with some gutting, removal of power steering and A.C. and a gutted cat. Mine still has A.C. and power steering and all seats etc. Nothing has been removed and it runs 15.1 so thats not too bad, but with a tune it should run better. So yes the turbo has helped.

Ok I don't know too much about turbo's and what the fak TD05-18G mean's. But I like your ride. and I'm sure it's fast.
Speaking of which. What does TD05-18G and all those other letters and numbers mean? I'm not a ricer...I just don't know that much.

RxR_Eclipse 11-02-2001 06:27 PM

I like! :)

and I quot Greddy, "The TD distinguishes the turbo as a Mitsubishi Turbo.

The O5 is the turbinefamily size.

The 18 is the compressor wheel size

The G is the compressor wheel type - high flow.

The turbo is rated for 420hp".

This all depends on how built the motor is for boost.

I hope this helps.

thanx:)
