wat's the difference????
Can anyone tell me what's the difference between...crankshaft pulley, underdrive pulley, and power pulley....which do you suggest if they are actually different at all?
|
Underdrive pulley = any pulley that's larger than stock size, which underdrives the component its attached to.
Power pulley = ??? I don't know... AEM calls them power pulleys maybe... or could be referring to the alternator pulley? Crankshaft pulley = pulley on the crank ;) The AEM set comes with the AC and alternator pulleys, which in turn underdrive the PS. the UR set comes with a crank pulley and (I'm not sure what else, if anything) |
i read - but have now forgotten - that one of those is a bad idea to replace. i think its the crankshaft pulley. something about it causing problems.
|
crankshaft one is supposed to be the one that throws off the centrifical force and messes up the motor....
Some people I know have them and have been fine but I've heard some bad stories over te yrs also... I mean pulley sare pulleys just that some companies have diff names for there's..   |
