pedals I got

Hey guys I got these pedals today on ebay. The seller said that they had bolt-on brackets. Does this mean that I drill through the small black hole shown, right through to the other side of the stock pedal? Do I need some sort of heavy duty drill for this?

Also, do you guys think the screws would be included (shoulda asked before I bought it...)

Thanks,
Gee

Yeah, looks like you'll have to drill. If you have a decent drill, just go out and buy a very nice, high quality bit, and you'll go through the pedal just fine.

yep... drill. they don't make it easy do they? lol.

thks

Thanks guys.... So nothing along the lines of a screw driver would do right?

Man... never thought I'd have to buy a drill to put on pedals. Probably costs more than the pedals themselves.

Do you guys think the needed screws/bolts will be included?

THanks,
gee

A screwdriver won't work for sure. I'd just go buy a nice drill... you'll use it a lot in the future anyway. And yeah, it will cost much more than the pedals if you buy a decent one.

As for the screws... they should be included, but who knows? Ask the seller maybe.

yeah i remeber when i wnated to change my brake disks . they were only $34 and i paid 100 for the impact wrench.

slowEJ6 04-16-2002 04:28 PM

eh? if they come with the brackets you should just need a wrench and an allen key or small screwdriver.....remove the rubber off your pedals now and these probably slip right over them. drill? im confused.

Oops.... I didn't read where you said they came with brackets. You'll be fine then, no probs. Some momo pedals and others require drilling though.

How do I remove the rubber from my stock pedals? I haven't taken a closer look yet, but does it just tear off or something? And is taking off the rubber from the pedal permanent?

THanks

you miiiight be able to get it back on, i wasn't very gentle so no putting back on for me.

Maxvla 04-17-2002 02:32 AM

whoopsie... i musta missed the brackets part.

SlikVic 04-17-2002 05:34 AM

Yes i have taken the rubbers and the plastic off, and they go back on fine...

ShEaNy 04-17-2002 09:35 AM

lol when i put mine on they went over the pedals and i screwed the brackets together .. but the gas pedal wouldn't go on right so my freind took a drill went right through the pedal and put a screw in there i don't think that thing will be coming off.:D

Whtehnda93DXSdn 04-20-2002 10:43 PM

yeah since they have brackets you wil just put them around the stock pedal then just tighten the screws on the brackets to keep them in place. No drilling should be required for that job.

SO don't go out and buy a drill until you get the pedals and know for sure....Nice looking pedals by the way...

installed them

Hey guys,

The pedals came in on Friday, and I installed them yesterday. The brackets worked out good, and after buying a bit of double sided mounting tape, the fit is actually pretty tight! I hope they don't come loose eventually though.

Tell me what you guys think! :bandit:
