Base RSX
or
RSX Type-S

-Both are complete stock, no added options, no aftermarket products installed onto the car

-Considering 200hp, but has more weight due to the power options, sub, etc. and that the 160hp doesn't have some of the luxuries of the Type-S

I had an argument with one of my friends about this, he thinks the Base would keep up since it has less weight than the Type-S, but I disagree.

I think the S has more than enough power to make up for any weight, so I'd go with the RSX-S in a race.

Well I own a RSX base model and the Type S is faster.

it has more torque and hp. the weight really doesn't make a difference but soon enough I'll be able to smoke em.

RSX Type S

Me too man. But the RSX-Type S would win its only about a 100 pound differnce so. The type s runs a 15.2 stock ITR 14.8 and looks a lot nicer Type R is much better.

Your definetely right about the type-r looking better, and it handles better.

Does anyone know how their compression ratios compare??? I'm interested in knowing which has more turbo potential.....

I believe the Type R has a bit higher compression. The RSX would be a tad better for turbo'd stock internals. Not power wise but the fact that internals will last a bit longer.
