Well, I hear ya on this one. Its something that we have to deal with every term. I used to just procrastinate, but now I try to study a lot before finals/midterms to make the load easier. Since you're already there though...

Set some time aside to go exercise or hang out with friends. Something that will take your mind off of the workload. It also makes it a little better if you study with people from your classes - you'll be able to ask them questions, and it breaks the monotony of studying alone. When you are studying, make sure to take breaks every couple of hourse. Try to get plenty of sleep at night, etc.

Best of all, know that it will all be over in a week and you'll be able to relax.

Good luck!

I for once am not stressin this semester. I work full time and attend college full time...So I normally tend to be one big ball of stress the whole way through the semester. One thing that keeps me grounded is goin out every friday night and gettin on aol/aim and talkin to all of my friends. I tend to procrastinate on everything. But I found that if I do things ahead of time I don't do as well. So, procrastination it is for me. Just breathe, relax, go get a massage, drive around with no destination in mind....whatever you need to do to get your mind off your school work and relax for a little bit. Get laid if you need to!;) ;) ;)

I know what ya mean NooNz! I have a six page paper due tomorrow, a final Friday, two finals Monday, one final Tuesday and a ten page paper due on Wednesday! Then to top it all off, I just got my PSYC test back yesterday, which I thought I really well on compared to the others, but I got a damn D on it! Oh well, it'll all be over soon, for this semester! Doesn't help matters none that I go to an all women's college! Twelve more credits and I can finally transfer! Coed dorms....here I come! :D

Yup... its the "silly season" of school again... everything due all at once right before exams... it sucks.. oh well- just gotta relax... decide when you want to do the work and do it then- no other time... hang with your friends every day- it is VITAL... go home, chill a little bit, get a drink, do some pushups or something, then you should be ready to work (works for me anyways)... and I wouldnt suggest getting laid- too much effort... just stick with oral sex through the time when you have lots of work and you should find it much more relaxing;) ... they didnt just cut holes in the bottom of desks for your feet ya know... :D

TruHeel142 04-10-2002 07:27 PM

hehe, talk about stressing!!!

I have to work 5 hrs thursday, 7 hrs on friday, 8 hrs on saturday, and 8 hrs on sunday....and I have to find some the time to write a 5 page paper, study for 2 big tests, and start/finish a history project: which is all on monday....so yeah, i'm stressing! it may not sound like much, but considering I've got to work that much, and i'll probably need a lot of sleep, i figure it leaves me a couple hours till monday to do it all.

NooNz 04-10-2002 07:34 PM

just want to add...

i went to my professor today, and he teaches this course, Introduction to World Drama, where we read and watch plays and our class writes essays..and well on my essay i got back on tuesday, he gave me a D+ on my paper...and well i went to talk to him about it b/c i thought it deserved at least a C+ to C...since he nitpicked on everything little thing and he's like "nope...not right..has to be like this..doesn't make sense..blah blah blah."...so i asked people that are good in english and writing essays (obviously smarter than me) to check what i did wrong, and what was okay.....and they said that some of the parts he marked wrong was really right!!!...just the fact that he reworded it to his liking......i hate this stupid sh*t...i hate teachers where they are right no matter what!!!....

Example of this: "The are complete opposites of each other, living under the roof of Oscar's apartment in New York City."
- so he crosses out "under the roof of" and puts "in"
ITS THE SAME THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....just shorter!!!...like wtf....

DsBlu01CivEX 04-10-2002 09:42 PM

If it's a paper you should get to write it however the f**k you want whether he likes the wording or not. As long as it's grammatically correct. Now if it were an essay...yah "in" would be the choice to pick. Always be short, concises, and to the point on essays. I know this but yet never follow it. And I always get essays wrong because I add too much! I'm never gonna give my students essay tests once I start teaching.

NooNz 04-10-2002 09:44 PM

it is right..but "in" is just shorter....still the same point....
