AEM COld AIr Intake Kits

Hi sorry if this has been covered numerous times but I am a newbie with a 93 HOnda Accord DX, I just put on some new 15 "Konig Traffics with 195 r 60 NItto 460's. I am trying to fix it up nice, and I was wonderign if these AEM COld intake Kits are worth the money, do they really make a difference in HP and performance other than just make a cool sucking noise?
Also I got a big ass battery under the hood will it fit?
OR should I go with the short ram? AND Do I need the bypass valve?
It rains alot here in East Tn///
thanks

Dude get a CAI with the bypass valve, it really does make a difference. I'd say a CAI is a very wise investment.

I have the AEM CAI. An intake alone will mostly just make noise, but when paired with a header and exhaust, it will help you out a little more. You only need the bypass valve in extreme conditions. I installed on initially, but this past winter I didn't use it, and it rained a lot here.

I know this wasn't directed at me, but I just wanted to say that the bypass valve will cause you to loose 1-2 hp, which isn't good. The CAI alone will maybe gain you 4-5 hp to the wheels.

I proably gained about 7hp, but it was definately noticably big difference. With the bypass valve, you don't need it if you live in a warm weather climate, but if you live in New England like me I got the bypass just for piece of mind. I don't want to have to worry about getting a chunck of snow or some water from a puddle. Not that will happen because CAI are pretty safe, but I wanted the extra insurance.
