Naming Cars
 

Ok...we all know that guys like to name...um...things...including cars. So, I was wondering have any of you fellow honda owners named your cars??? I've named mine. I really don't call her by her name I normally just call her my baby...but her name is Pulo. All of my other cars I've owned have been named after their car color....but with a twist....it's the color in hawaiian. Like my Lumina was Ele Ele...which is black in Hawaiian. So, naturally when I got my Civic, I decided to keep with the trend and named her Pulo, cuz thats blue in Hawaiian.

Oh and sorta off topic question cuz I notice myself doing this...why do we refer to cars and such in the feminine? Aren't cars supposed to be a masculine thing????

Guys consider calling their cars feminine names cuz they think they have the power over it to do make it do what they want. I dunno about any other girls here, but my car is my little man. And I refer to it as being masculine because I can make it do what I want and he likes it.. If he's got a problem with something he lets me know and we get it worked out :D :D

I call my Car Kermit or Sublime :crazy: im not sure why probably cuz kermits a little cutie;) and Sublime cuz I've always drove around in the car listenin to good ol' sublime:cool:

Hehe my cars name is Angela!! I dont know any angelas but i like that name for some reason! either that or i call my car *****!

DsBlu01CivEX, your cars name sounded more of a boys name anyway. You must have forgotten to look down there, and assumed it's a female. How I can recall all my cousins look like their female, but in reality their males :crazy:

My civics name is turd... cause its slow...

My ford pickups name is Big Yellow Turd... Because its big, its yellow, and it slow... when it runs at all..:rolleyes: ;)

my car's a boy...his name's Tim, but his friends can call him Timmy :yes:

Ha thats great!!! One of my best guy friends got a Timmy doll just like that for his bday from his gf. You squeeze his hand and he says Tim-my. We sat and rolled laughin for like 20 mins about that!!!

All 3 of my cars had names: my first car was Blazer or Blazee because it was a Chevy Blazer
My Toyota Tacoma was the Taco Rocket. TACOma Rocket because it wasn't a rice rocket but a Taco Rocket
My Teg is called the PanTegra.

All 3 names were not names that I came up with but ones that they earned over time.

M friend used to call the band Pantera "Pantegra" because he was a goof, and not too long ago my friend and I were listening to Pantera in my car and we started talking about that and that's how my Teg got it's name.

Maybe that's why he is in a wheelchair....he fell on his head too many times when he was a smaller child and it messed up his brain.

hey, do u still have the taco? just curious, my bf has one and i quickly learned that taco doesn't mean the food, it's a tacoma ;) it's like a well known thing, even with their websites like customtacos.com

Wow I didn't know other people were going around calling their Tacoma's Taco! I thought I was original!;(

Well, I got my Tacoma 5 years ago and I sold it 2 1/2 years ago so maybe I was original at the time........who knows!

It was a '97 Tacoma btw

Now I'll have to post cheesy pics of me jumping next to my Tacoma like in those old Toyota commercials! hehe

lol, ya sorry to burst your bubble, but everyone in the minitruckin world knows they're tacos not tacoma's. ;) hehe, my bf's is a 97 too. i love it :)

Oh well, I just won't tell anyone who knew my truck that other people call theirs Taco also! Then I can still be kinda original! lol

I love Tacomas though.......it's just something about them......they aren't totally pimpin' or anything, they are just fun trucks. I had many good times in that truck! Long live the Taco Rocket!

dude, taco's are totally pimpin! have u seen mike finnegan's taco? (the owner of minitruckin mag) now THAT's one pimpin taco!

Haven't seen his Taco......back when I had that truck I didn't think anybody even fixed those up.....as far as cars go I was really really naive back then.
More recently I've met some people with Taco's who are in car clubs and stuff......but I get a laugh now that I think back to 3 or 4 years ago I didn't think anybody fixed those up!
