Makin the Sol drive!
 

I was wondering how to make my Del Sol faster. It is right now stock. Price is sort of an issue, but I do not want to spend more than 3k on it. Please help me, and recommend some things I should do to get it up and running faster.

I'd start with an intake and exhaust

... or maybe just go with an engine swap to start with.

Ok. An engine swap. That sounds enticing. Please elaborate. What kind of an engine could I put in this thing, and what kind of a gain could I expect?

if you dont want to put a turbo or supercharger i'd say a B16A which will give you instant 160hp. and with a car that light... you'd be quick right out of the box.

or if you do go forced induction i'd look into a H22A or B18C5.

you mentioned Price so i would go with Accord_Ex suggs, Intake and Exhaust. Getting the Exhaust will "open" your engine up for more mods. And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't just get the damn tip and rev like you're fast:crazy: that drives me insane. After the exhaust and intake, maybe some headers? Good luck, plenty of advice to be gotten in here.

Lol... j/k ... that does upset me when you see ppl rolling around with a Bright Red Eshaust Tip.

Mario, 3k is a good amount to work with to make that little thang fast, you just need to decided how to go about it, A swap, a Turbo, or Maybe Nos. Theirs plenty of ppl around here that know the ins and outs of each, so you might wanna try looking around the Performance Forum.
