Anyone Elses Civic Leak Gas??????

ok

just bought my first Civic last night

its a 91 3 Door Hatchback DX

i filled it with gas before i brought it home (totally full) and then i parked it in my driveway

my driveway slants and the back of the car was towards the bottom of the hill

i noticed when i came outside there was a decent amount of fuel on the ground

i am thinking (hoping) this was because it was on a slant and because it was so full that it leaked out

anyone ever hear of this??

any ideas?

thanks

I'm pretty sure that the gas shouldn't leak out at all. You'll want to check that out and look for a crack.

My friends CRX leaked gas.. It was a hole in his gas tank.. Ill ask him how he fixed it when I see him again.

thanks man

this is weird

only does it with a FULL Tank

Even with a full tank it shouldn't leak. That's not right??

i just got the car and still havent gone through it yet

My friends leaked only with a full tank, because the hole was up higher.. he just couldnt fill it up past the whole..

thanks

I think he pulled the gas tank out and used some JBweld and a peice of hard plastic or aluminum or something and patched the whole.. Like I said.. I ask him exactly what he used.
