hey i think you probley can get some spark plug wires some new spark plugs a cam gear. you also can get turbo that will put the horse power pretty hight up. but personaly i think you should just save up and get a b18c (gsr) or put a ls vtec in that bad baby also you could put a b20 this is what i think you sould do but you have have your own mind

Welcome to HS. If you don't want to swap yet, get an exhaust next.

4jacks 03-01-2002 09:57 PM

Hey, Welcome to HS

Yea.. do Exhaust , headers and then go from there.....

Racing Rice 03-02-2002 08:58 AM

SpongeBobFastCar 03-02-2002 09:20 AM

Isn't this posted in the wrong section? :paranoid:

BTW, welcome to honda style Master Cee

Hey- welcome to the board. You might want to get a header and an exhaust next. Do you plan on doing an engine swap? If you do it wouldn't really be worth turboing or super charging it.

MASTER CEE I 03-04-2002 12:03 PM

hOW MUCH WOULD I BE LOOKIN AT TO DO A ENGIENE SWAP- THE TOTAL PACKAGE?

toykilla 03-04-2002 07:10 PM

TURBO. ITS THE ONLY WAY TO FLY!!!

Mr Sleeper 03-05-2002 01:30 PM

both types of forced induction would be fine. Nitrous will help also. It all comes down to this: It does not matter what type of engine you have because with the time and money, you can make any car go fast. Also remember that there is always someone faster than you. I

Both type of forced inductions are NOT good. Superchargers suck on a 4-banger. I think I saw a type-R with a Jackson Racing SC on submitted rides once. It had like 227hp to wheels at, I think 5lbs. Dont those cars have 210 stock? LOL, how is that good? My car on the other hand. Same boost with turbo, around SAME HORSEPOWER. Oh yea, mine has 140hp stock.

Mr Sleeper 03-11-2002 01:50 AM

I am saying that it is good start. JRSC are not that bad. Turbo either. At 5.5 lbs of boost, do not expect significant gains. I know they suck at 5.5 pounds of boost but then again it mgiht be enough for most people. Maybe not you but out of most of the people I know that have either setup are very satisfied. I think that most people overhype them and people are suckered into that misleading information. And then when people see them in cars, they expect to be in the mid to low 13's. That's ridiculous for honda's. And no, type r's do not have 210 stock. Sorry but you have been misinformed. I can't remember the exact number so do not quote me on this. I believe a type r is about 190 stock trim (flywheel) and with 5 psi of boost, 230 something h/p to the wheels, that sounds about right. I do not know much about DSM's; moreover, I do not know what type of numbers you should be pulling. When I had a greddy turbo kit I was running mid to high 14's. But when I boosted the turbo to it's max, around 14 psi if I can remember, I was pulling 13's. Now I have a a civic that runs 12's. So tell me how that is NOTgood?

4jacks 03-11-2002 09:06 AM

When you get a Stock Engine's HP it's at the engine not at the wheels... 227 at the wheels is damn good ! At the wheels is what got tested on a dyno. I'm not sure exactly how to convert it to at the engine, but it will be way higher.

Mr Sleeper 03-11-2002 11:47 AM

there ya go. that's what I meant. thanks 4jacks

toykilla 03-11-2002 06:54 PM

Im sure some of you had to have seen the Type-R that was posted. Not only did he have the JRSC, he had TONS of shit done for speed. He had over 25,000$ put into the car to make it run at 231hp to the wheels. Thats pathetic. Give me 10,000 with nothing but a stage VI turbo and im running 500+hp to the wheels. Turbo > Supercharger

toykilla 03-11-2002 06:57 PM

Here's the link to the Type-R im talking about. LOOK AT ALL THE SPEED MODS and tell me thats not pathetic. 25k+ invested. Same mods on same car with turbo and hes running 500+hp easy.
