new member - seeking suggestions

Hey everyone. I'm a new member here and I want to indroduce myself and my car. I bought a black 02 Accord Coupe SE back in September and up to now have done minimal mods on it. Upcoming is a tint job and when I get enough money for snow tires and new rims, I'm going to do all that. Until then the stock rims and tires are gonna stay cuz even though they're only 15s they're not too bad.

I'd like to start out with the engine and do some simple mods to improve performance. I'm looking for some suggestions in this area. I'd like to install a cold air intake and am wondering what brand best suits my car and will actually stand the test of time. I'd welcome any other engine mod suggestions for the 4 banger. On the outside of the car I think I'm gonna stop there. I prefer a car that is slightly subtle but is somethin special where it counts.

As for me, I live in Reston, VA and work at UUNET/WCOM.

Here's the rims I like... (we'll see if this works)

Yup yup good rims.I love black cars with tinted windows, and lowered. Makes em looks SOOO aggresive!
Welcome to Honda Style.
With the intake, I say go for AEM. Also a muffler system, and headers would improve performance!

Welcome to HS! One more for the Accords :)

For the intake, get an AEM

Hey , Welcome to HS

I think everyone's going to recommend AEM as far as Cold Air, So far they have the best response from this website,

I just bought a 02 Civic, So it's nice to see another new Honda owner, still looking for import parts to catch up and make stuff for our car.

As for the preformance mods, I think everyone is going say go with Cold Air first , Exhaust Second, and Headers Third. Then if your not happy, it might be time for a V-tech controller or something along that scale.

The boards get vastly different opinions as you go down that list,
Cold Air - Everyone says AEM
Exhuast - We argue between Cat Back , and Custom Bent
Headers - We argue some more
V-tech controller and beyond - We argue relentlessly without Pause

So welcome to the Club !

NO NO NO. there are coupes in i4, and the se trim level is based on the lx trim plus some other crap, like aluminum dash kits. from honda's press release some of them are 4wd but i never seen a 4wd accord yet

thanks everybody... I had already considered the AEM Intake but I needed to hear it from somebody else. Thanks for the hospitality in my new home (while I'm @ work that is).

A 4WD Accord??? Maybe on the 7th Gen... BTW, have you guys seen the sketches? I'm sure those have gone around but just in case they have not, here's what I found about 3 weeks ago. (I'll post it in a sec)

man that coupe is schweet! Can't say I really like the extra weight it looks like the sedan is carrying over its back wheels, but maybe this is the Euro or Japan spec accord... US will get another design
