i have a problem
 

does anyone know anything about the 91 accord lx? right now im having a problem that occasionally happens. sometimes when im driving, i guess my car thinks i accelerate too much because the sport mode kicks on and i cant accelerate like normal. in that manual it says i need to have it maintenenced by a honda specialist what do you guys think i should do about this problem.

I'm a little unclear on what you're trying to say here, so let's clear that up first.

When you accelerate hard, your sport mode kicks on, and that makes it so you can't accelerate "normal"?

Well, what do you mean by "normal" acceleration? Can you only accel quickly, slowly, etc. Also, in normal operation, the sport mode should only come on when you click the button on the stick, right?

might be your linker cable, whics is out of adjustment or messed up, so the tranny reads the wrong trottle opening. i do not have the sport mode on my tranny, but it used to happen till i had the linker cable changed and adjusted.

ok u know the regular acceleration you get when you slam the pedal to the floor right? well sometimes the sport mode will just kick itself on and when i slam down the pedal its like im barely pushing it at all. it takes forever to get to 40 mph. and when i get into high gear it doesnt shift up or down. Does that make it more clear?

Does anyone have any idea how to fix my problem?

i have no clue how to adjust it. no books really explain it, so i guess you either need to take it to a dealer, or get a helms manual
