Removing Dealer Insignia

I recently bought a '97 HX and I want to get rid of that damn car dealer insignia that they glued to the trunk. Any advice on how to get that off cleanly and safely (ie, without %(*$ing up my paint)?

use a hair dryer, heat it up....then you can CAREFULLY use a razor blade to pick at the edges and pry it all off. or you can use your fingernails if you have any. either works. razor works better of course....dont burn yourself with the hair dryer :D

 NO NO NO NO RAZOR !!! AHHHH !!! Just use your blooming finger nail .... gesh dont use a RAZOR. It's just the risk involved, a razor wont no the difference between your paint and the sticker .... If you dont have fingernails (Which I dont but I was still able to use them to pick my dealer sickers off ) then use a credit card ! .. and use the hair dryer !

I did use a razor to take off the CIVIC and the HX but they were on there with foam sticky tape and thiers more room for error

I wouldn't put a razor near my paint. The blow dryer is a good idea. Maybe a heat gun. Just be careful and take your time.

i'd make the idiot salesman take it off before i drove it off the lot. or i wouldnt buy it. i absolutely cannot stand those things. its a huge pet peeve of mine.

That's a good suggestion, too. But I'd almost rather do it myself than risk having the guy mess up my paint.

have him do it b4 you buy it. if they f*ck it up its their fault.
