painting my civic

I was thinking of painting my whole car to a different color. I just saw MAACO (or watever) have a promotion to paint the whole car for $250. Are thir paiting good? I mean does it has a good quality to it? Which suggestion would u give me as far as the color? I want some color that matched the blue interior of mine.

Do not get your car painted at Maaco. You will get a trashy paint job and be mad that you did it. A good paint job can run $2k+, so guess what you'll get for $250.

I would say NO to MAACO...I mean I've heard a very few rare occassions that people have gotten a paint job there and it loked of soe good quality but 9 times out fo 10 you hear horror stories of really shitty jobs and paint work..Not to mention the peint itself isn't that great.

I hope this might help a little....You get what you pay for....

Having my Probe completely Paint at THE BEST BODY SHOP IN AMERICA ...
Boyle Buick In Abingdon Maryland
(ah hem)
Cost me $2,200 It was an insurance claim, having them change the color cost a lot more, cause they have to spend a lot more time, preping the car to paint the doorjams, trunkjams and every other nook and cranny.
I got the best paint job I've ever seen !!

Hope your paint job goes as good.

On another note, if your just thinking you car needs a new paint job, Go to a good detailing job and ask them what they can do for it. My old boss, drove a 9 year old celica that looked like azz, I came to work one day, and thier was this bright red shiny celica in his spot, when asking him if he got it painted, he only replied "Looks good dont it!" ... after confessing he only got it detailed, I didn't belive him, and made him drive it up and show me a sratch to prove he hadn't gotten the car repainted ... they did a hell of a job. cost $200

Hope it Helps
