Starting from Stock!

I have a 1998 Civic Hatch

everything factory standard
Do any of you have any sugestions about what to modify, and where i should start,

Wheels, Engine, Interior, or Exterior?

If you were to modify, what would modify, and where would you begin.

i have a 97 hatch
it depends what you want from the car do0d, are you more for performance or for looks?

the only things i can really suggest are some springs/shocks to lower the car right now and perhaps some 16" or 17" wheels. what color is the car?

SlikVic 02-09-2002 05:26 PM

It's Black and i am getting some 16's but am reluctant to lower it due to practicle reasons. But it would look bloody unreal if i did!

for about $500 you can get a nice setup for your suspension.. what wheels are u getting?

SlikVic 02-09-2002 05:54 PM

6 spokes right out to the rim.

Don't know which brand, but the change will cost $1600 Australian, or US$900

have you checked out rota wheels? they are light weight and the price is pretty reasonable... i got mine for $100 u.s. a piece. (15's) and 16's are like $150 a piece.. they are strong wheels too. good wheels for people on a budget like me.,

Beautiful looking car.

can you tell me in a little detail what you have done to it.

Wheels, engine, interior.

it looks bloody good!!!!!!

SlikVic 02-09-2002 07:38 PM

I am just interested in what would be you ideal wheel for that car 15' or 16'

SWIFT 02-09-2002 07:55 PM

thanks bro!
wheels= 15" rota circuit 8's
suspension= kyb agx shocks w/ h&r springs, mugen strut bar
engine= hybrid b18c gsr engine, comptech header, hks super dragger exhaust w/ nakayama tanabe style muffler, and other stuff :)
interior= jdm shift boot, reversed indiglow gauges, removed/modified back seat
outside= painted door guards/ handles, all red tails

SlikVic 02-10-2002 12:03 AM

Sounds pretty cool!

What are struts, and how did you rig up the gauges?

What are you planning to do next?

What's with the back seats?

SWIFT 02-10-2002 12:53 AM

i have kyb struts... the guages are aftermarket.. it's really easy to install. the back seats, i had to remove them to reduce some weight and customized the back w/ wood and carpet. i'm not sure what my next plan is, maybe build up the engine so i can run 12's..
so you have an EK? pretty cool car! if you care so much about accelaration, i wouldnt get heavy wheels...spend your money wisely...goodluck
