dont care how weak, dont care if it misses. i called off work for my "safty" and i have one class till 12 tomorrow considering they dont close campus.

i get too excited from these things... ive already pulled some firewood inside i can burn after everything is soaked. i went and bought a new bottle of black lable. now the question is what kind of keg. what a great break in the week :D

it was funny hearing all the freshman freaking out about the storm this morning on campus. they all think the whole world is shutting down for a tropical storm. i piss tropical storms

Im right on the beach, and the old people are freaking, i love it! i bought a few essentials: got the propane tank filled (300lbs tank for our gaurdian generac system, powers the whole house), beer (for my dad and brother), few bottles of shmidt and schone Reisling Spatlaase (really good, very affordable, for me and the fiance/gf/wife(however you want to describe the woman that i love and have a kid with), lots of baby food, and formula, cigarettes, oh and my new Xbox 360 and dead rising (kickass game!) now for the hard part finding room for me, her and our baby in my parents house with my brother, parents, 6 wk old pit bull, 1.5 yr old pit bull, 2 basset hounds, 2 cats, and freaking cockateel(sp?)(the bird is hers and it hates me, the pits are mine, and the bassets/and the cats, are my parents) about to have some fun!

Is the generator loud?

AkimboStylee 08-29-2006 03:00 PM

very very quiet, can barely tell its running, also its very indescreet beside the big ass propane tank.

I had a keg party during Katrina... granted I was 200 miles inland, it was still a ridiculous storm as the eye passed right near us. Trees fell all in the streets, a huge limb fell on our house (but the 1800s wooden house shrugged it off) and it flooded pretty good. Everyone in town was drunk as hell, us included. The house reaked for a few days afterwards, but it was one of the best parties we've ever had.

ChrisCantSkate 08-29-2006 05:37 PM

yeah the parties i had for charlie jeane that 3rd one and wimla over the past few years were amazing.. i want another one or 2 before i have to graduate. we played football durring one of the daytime ones... sick. we sunk a car in a ditch durring wilma and set a desk on fire durring one of em they all blur totgether after the seasons up. schools closed tomorrow ive decided on a 18 pack of amberbock for tonight and tomorrow with a 6 of dogfish head 90min IPA for when i want a strong brew. the black label is in the freezer right next to the gold label, under the rest of the cab, so i think im stocked for drinking.

AkimboStylee 08-30-2006 11:50 AM

well here are a few pictures from last week when it actually stormed.. not this crap that came through yesterday.

the lake in the parking lot was about 16-20 inches deep and it fed into the ditch/lake in the second picture which was about 4 feet deep, which is normally bone dry and draines water VERY fast. took 5-6 hrs for the water to drain off the parking lot... we had no water in parking lot and maybe 6 inches in the ditch... weak storm
