what first?
I've decided to go with AEM CAI, DC headers, and GReddy exhaust. Basically, I want my car to sound great and move faster. I'm definately avoiding the high pithed exhaust noises that those rice rockets have. Is this a good combo to add punch to my Accord? If not, then any suggestions? Money isn't exactly pouring into my lap so I'll have to get each part done seperately. What should come first? I was told that you cant get inake first because your engine will take in more than it can push out. Is this true? Help me out, what comes first?

it doesnt matter waht you really get first... usually people go with the intake first.. but like i said you wont have any problems if you buy one at a time.... altho its much more noticeable if you bought it all in one shot!!!
good luck on your purchases |

Thats BS.. The intake is cool thing to start with.. Cause You'll actually hear your engine when you rev! |
you really get the whole bang at once ? save up and get the whole things at once, or install them at once.

I'd probably get the intake first, then an exhaust. If you like the sound of an exhaust, get that first. It really isn't a big deal if you're getting it all anyway.
|
So getting intake first won't negatively affect my power until I get the rest? I heard intake alone can sometimes steal some power until you get headers and exhaust. Is that a bunch o' BS?

That's BS. Get a quality intake, and you will gain some power. |

I just told you it was! Did anybody tell you that an exhaust is not of much good, performance wise, until you get a high flow cat?? I bet they forgot to tell you that .. :) |

i don't know but a high flow cat seems like a waste of money on newer models. They OEM ones are designed to be pretty free not as restrictive as the older ones, like i have on my car. Well a hi-flo cat is aroun $70 at www.carparts.com which is not such a big deal. |
Well, I'm gonna start with AEM intake. As for the exhaust, will Greddy be fine, or is there something better?
