Racing Rice 02-08-2006 01:44 PM

The governement is trying to get Google to release all of the search records. Google is refusing to do so, saying that they want to protect the privacy of thier users.

The article, kinda pokes fun at it if you did not read it. It is funny, read it..

People are claiming it's to "keep kids safe". You know...like before the internet and there was no possible way anyone under 18 could see porn. I'm always a fan of lazy ass parents who are too busy or just don't care enough to pay attention to what their kids are doing online, but to subpoena millions of datalogs of random users is absolutely ridiculous. I mean, if I can't slander people on the internet anonymously, what's the point?

Racing Rice 02-08-2006 09:42 PM

I agree with you Steve. I think the "It's for kids" thing is all BS. That is why we have parental controls on just about everything available today. If the parents aren't going to monitor what the kids are doing, why should the government. It's a load of horseshit.

Mischief 02-09-2006 02:08 AM

Steve harassing people online anonymously is actually against the law.. If they know your name they can't do shit about it.. That's why I tell most people my full name because I know I'll harass the shit out of most.
