I opened a Roth IRA, I'm 24 and should've done it about 6 years ago but was too stupid. Better late than never I suppose.

Nice... I don't have a IRA because I plan on pulling my money out of my investment account and using it towards a house, but once I get a down payment on a house, IRA here I come. :)

Yeah I'm 24 and I just started 401k and stock purchase about 2 months ago. Should have done it a long time before now.

i need to get on it.. i have a few investments going now which im up almost 30% on now, but not enough in for the long haul. i need to get an IRA set up though and not just long term investments. also i do want to get a house once i figure out where im gonig to stay for the next few years

I started mine all online, it was pretty easy. If you're worried about having your money tied up that you'd want to put down on a house, you can take it out penalty free for your first house.

Man...it'd be hard for me to get so excited about financial stuff. I'll let the CPA that does my taxes worry about that (he gives me investment ideas, too). I know little about this shit other than what the names mean.

heh i just read "the richest man in baboloyn" and it was all about how to become wealthy off a "normal mans pay". it put almost everything ive learned over the past 3 years into perspective and how to think about managin my money for the rest of my life. if anyone hasnt read it i cant say enough how much you need to read it, if earning money is an interest of yours. for a savings/investment its not hard, just set aside a certain % of each paycheck, like 10% and eventually it will build up to something decent and as long as you have it working for you in some investment its the first step to becoming wealthy... not rich.
