Got a SICK bonus at work... need advise on turbo project

http://www.hstuners.com/forums/showt...threadid=25755

Above is my thread in Turbo section cuz that's prob. where I'm going to spend the most.

The new job is crazy.. I'm SOOO busy but it's interesting and it's coming pretty easy to me.

The industry is structured where they dole out HUGE bonus' at the end of the year depending on if they had a good year or not (if the year sucks no bonus).

But we did pretty well this year and they were more than generous.

Certainly beats where I was last year at this time.

If anyone remembers I was working at a junkyard and made under 20k for the whole year... (I think FAR under 20k)... which I haven't done since I was 15 years old... so it was a ROUGH year last year.

I gotta be smart with the bonus though the majority of it will be going to pay back my parents for all the help they've given me over the past few years.

Then some towards X-mas presents (even with the new job I still don't make enough money for 2 kids) Before I found out about the bonus I was looking at the following:

December 14th:
December's rent : UNPAID
NOV/DEC Elec: UNPAID
NOV/DEC Gas: UNPAID
NOV/DEC Cable: UNPAID

Xmas presents bought: ZERO

Now I would have been able to pay at least my rent and MAYBE get some presents (no where near how many I need for all the dam people I have to buy for) but now I'm set.

Financial security is unbelievalbly comforting.

MUST KEEP JOB. lol.

Anyway just ranting anyone who has any turbo experience please read my above thread...

probobly won't really get working on it till spring but want to plan it out VERY well...

what do you do?

Dry cargo shipping.

We essentially rent Large sea vessels to ship dry cargo good around the world.

We either take a vessel on to carry cargo we've set a contract up for (some aluminum supplier or coal supplier will need 10-60k tons of stuff from one place to another 1-30 times a year)

Or we just take a vessel on and then re-rent it to another company... hopefully getting paid more money than we're paying.

It's funny the business is all over the place and VERY hard to predict... but generally there's TONS of money to be made at it.

The subaru still pisses me off... I'm probobly going to trade it in for something else at this point..

I don't remember if I posted my soaking wet car thread here or not... but basically the car was soaked from the headliner down on the driver side front after heavy rain one day... they had to replace the windshield.

ugh.
