yea, i think im going to wait till after the ps3 comes out to get one. they should drop in price then to compete with sales.

They crapped out and didn't sell it with a hard drive unless you wanna spend an extra $100. The PS3 will come standard with hard drive and wireless controllers. It will own the Xbox 360.

Oh yeah, the hd thing is really frickin retarded. The last one had one...
I was watching a guy play it today at best buy. All I could say was doom 3 on my new pc looks just as nice, maybe better.

I am looking forward to ps3 (still clutching onto ff7 remake rumors). Im thinking about cashing in again like I did when the ps2 came out - reserved one and resold it for $500. This time around, I'll buy 2 and keep one selling the second to cover both :)

how much is the ps3 supposed to be? if its way more than the cheap xbox than what would it matter what it comes with, since they just charged more for it?

its going to be pretty close to same price. thats why the Xbox will lower price so people will buy it.

I heard it was the same cost as the core xbox (which comes with no hd)

Its absolutely ridiculous.

Why people have to have one RIGHT NOW, is beyond me. It will be the exact same system 6 months down the road. If you "need it" for a gift, buy your kid a gift card worth that amount and they will be almost as happy, I guarantee it.

I'll wait to see what the PS3 looks like. I prefer Playstation anyway. Hopefully the games will be backwards compatible still. Though, I think I use a PSP more because I just play my PC when I'm home.

there isn't even a shortage of xboxes, MS is just holding back sending more out to make a demand for them

what would be the point of that unless Microsoft was going to hike up the price to make more money? As it stands there are people who want them and can't get them since there's not enough so microsoft is losing money. So are you sure about that?
