CD5Passion 10-19-2005 09:25 PM

I love driving. that's really it. Even tho I own an Echo I intend on making it road course worthy and maybe even Touge. sure it won't be in the same class as others especially in the touge. but it's the thrill of tackling corners that makes me happy

pdiggitydogg 10-19-2005 09:30 PM

yeah, its totally the gurlz :D
I bought the car because my old one was on its last legs, liked civics, and fast and the furious was cool

Racing Rice 10-19-2005 09:41 PM

Actually I'm not really in it any more. I still own the Honda, but it has been down graded to nasty weather bitch car. My bikes are priority.

i still own the car... its was fun. i think i just grew out of it

AzCivic 10-20-2005 12:18 AM

because imports(Honda at least) are generally more reliable and better built than the alternative. thats about the only reason I'm in the "import scene".

ebpda9 10-20-2005 02:29 AM

i'm in just because i like fucking up with my cars

Fatal070 10-20-2005 11:12 AM

IALuder 10-20-2005 03:34 PM

and ben the whole point of getting a VW is because it's affordable power.. I can't even afford a R32, nevermind getting it tuned by HPA motorsports.

You'll know nothing of electrical nightmares until you work on a British car...especially an older one.

IALuder 10-20-2005 07:16 PM

fucking brits suck ass at electric work. the spitfire was a nightmare.

KwikR6 10-20-2005 08:22 PM

I like cars. I like hondas....can't afford a supra. So that's my choice.

If you want affordable power then you don't want the vr6.

Get the 1.8t with basic mods and chipped your good for low 13s high 12s.
The vr6 is more expensive but is good for higher power output.

IALuder 10-20-2005 09:22 PM

Audi S4 is also a good choice.

drdingo21 10-20-2005 09:36 PM

If he can't wing a r32 I doubted he was looking to spend much over 10k...

IALuder 10-20-2005 09:42 PM

heh well I can easily find a golf around here for under 2k that's in good condition.. and then the vr6 swap is another grand or two, depending if some of the local guys I know can find it cheap.. there's a few shops around that can do the swap easy.. so a VR swapped Golf is about 5k... and I'd probably get a supercharger or something fun like that.. so I could have it done for under 10k and it'd rape a R32

thermal 10-25-2005 11:38 AM

Actually, I got into this cuz I dont want to grow too old. I'm getting old. I need something to keep me thinking young. I have always been into fiddling with mechanical and electrical stuff. I enjoy fabrication as well. Plus I'm Asian like Lyna said... ha ha...

...... not so much for the "honeys". The girls around here are only hanging out with the scene cuz they have no rides.... and those who do drive imports and modifies it are not like Lyna who tears aprt motors and interiors. They are kind of big and dont know anything about cars but body kits and altezza lights.......;(

I'll take that as an indirect compliment for me. ;)

Really though, I'm in it because it's something I actually want to learn about. It all really did start when I was 12 and my dear cousins were "racers." One had a red FD and the other an Integra GSR. They always let me watch them mod, and I said..one day, I'm gonna be faster than them. I then really became involve and was just looking at pictures in magazines. By 8th grade, I had to write an informative paper for state CIM and I wrote about the differences between a Z3, Miata, and MR2. I think the only reason I scored 5 across the boards was because the state raters didn't know what the hell I was talking about. At that point, I realized I love knowing things that others may not. I must admit, by the age of like, 15, it was kind of nice to be the only girl in school that was really into it, besides, I thought it was cool that guys dug it. :D
