Whats your lists of mistakes when doing DIY's?
- stepped and slipped on a floor jack
- Automotive-Gooped my pants to my shirt - dremelled a piece off my fingernail by accident...took off some skin behind the cuticle while I was at it - don't accidentally touch a wire brush that's hooked up to an electric drill and is spinning - put my center console together without plugging the antenna back into my deck...no radio - burned myself on exhaust tip (never try to lower the exhaust yourself after having driven for an hour) - cut myself on the inside of my fender (right under where the edge of the hood comes down) - shocked myself hooking up 2AWG wire for amp power supply - dropped a trunk lid on my head (took the springs off) - stabbed myself with a voltage tester |
-slipping off the jack handle and hyperextending my thumb
-picking up a piece of metal that I was grinding on w/ bare hands -cross-threading a mount bolt because I was tired, and didnt care -wondering why a bolt wont go in, because Im turning it left, instead of right -getting zapped by the battery because Im using a 10" extension, touching the opposite terminal -too much threadlock on hood pin studs, making it impossible to remove the nuts -wd40 is flammable |
-grinding without goggles
-doing electrical work without unplugging the battery -using a 9/16 vice 14mm wrench/socket -always snapping the rear lower control arm bolts -spending all my money on I/H/E thinking it would make power... so I turboed later -welding without gloves nor goggles -welding while pants are soaked in oil... burnt the bottom of my pants -using crescent wrench -shorted out my O2 sensor cuz the wire was laying on the exhaust pipe, causing the insulation to melt and blew almost every fuse in my car ... theres more...:od |
