Can I borrow...
...A slim hand tap extension?
None of the shops around here will even let me borrow one and use it in the parking lot. They all say "We have to do it...insurance reasons" Crap-ola I just need to retap my block for studs... I dont see the sense in buying a $30 extension that I'll use once. I'll pay for shipping out to me and send it back as soon as Im done! (tap is on special order - should arrive by end of the week) PLEEAASE;) Im a stand-up guy |
If I had one I'd sure let you use it, but considering I don't even know what you're talking about I'm no help..
|
im sure, buying will almost cost as much as shipping.
ifi had on i would send it to you either way. |
Nah, its just like a socket extension, but sized for hand taps
![]() Thanks though, guys |
theres nothing that you can use thats like it? im sure theres a socket extention that would fit it somehow.
yeah and im with everyone else... dont have one, but if i did, i'd let ya borrow it |
Nah, the socket extension is too fat, and it doesnt clip onto the tap anyway. The tap extension has a fitting that pinches the tap, rather than a spring ball like sockets.

ok so make a good friend out of someone that works at a shop. then sucker him into getting one for you. thats why im friends with a kid. plus he actually cool as fuck once i got to know him.

I'll look around. My uncle owns his own plumbing business (which includes roughly $250K worth of tools...it's a big business) so if I don't have on, he would probably lend me one.
|
My dad MIGHt have one..i'll check with him
|
Thanks a lot guys - good lookin out:yes:

Anyone find anything yet? The last shop I just laughed at me. The last store I called said, "There is no such thing!" Im getting frustrated...

WELL....Look what I made.
A: Tap B: Screwdriver extension, drilled out w/ 1/4" bit to remove a couple corners C: Screwdriver I "pressed" the tap into the extension and threw in some jb weld for good measure. It doesnt spin out and the slight wobble it has should be gone when the jb weld hardens. (If not, I wont be using this). It does work. It is straight. I wish I would have thought of this sooner... edit***WORKED! Done! |
