should i?

item #1:CF hatch cover
#2 : ef-9 Si-r front lip
and last but not least:since those pricks stole my rear section, why not!

tell me what you guys think, the last thing left is full lip kit, rota slipstreams, header(any comments), and carbon fibre hood(again any comments?)

sicones 06-07-2005 10:07 AM

f that hatch cover thing, get a one of those spoon CF duckbills

AkimboStylee 06-07-2005 11:12 AM

they dont make one for my chassis

sicones 06-07-2005 11:15 AM

what year hatch

pdiggitydogg 06-07-2005 11:40 AM

I dont think a cover thingy is worth that much money
I like that lip
So ridiculous that people jacked your rear section...Id just buy a replacement muffler and get it custom done for around $120 at a local shop

AkimboStylee 06-07-2005 11:59 AM

year: 89

i like the hach cover, because i have to see one in my area, i know i should just but a new muffler, but i just got a big paycheck(total of 2264.78, buying a dj pays well!!!) and i have heard alot about hks products, and taht is pretty cheap for that model. i am absolutly for sure going to buy that lip, but i also have people looking for an ef-9 at a junk yard. i have also got a complete y8 with less than 40,000 on it, that i am going to have to build up, cause i dont like the fact that my girls car is faster( a hell of a lot faster! which sucks because i hate being beat by a girl!!!!)

what header should i buy?
also the lastthing i am going to buy for the outside is a cf hood, but what brand?
also do they make a lip kit for my car? if so i want one!
awaiting next paycheck to buy rota's, and brake stuff (lines, rotors, pads, and im not doing a rear disk swap just yet!)

so far do you guys think this will make for a badass CLEAN car?

pdiggitydogg 06-07-2005 12:04 PM

Still, I wouldnt dump a fat load of cash on an entire setup, just because you have the money. It could be used better elsewhere, especially since you could get by at 1/3rd the price. Thats just what Id do anyways.

A DC header is a good choice. Theyre relatively cheap and good quality. I have an SS one that definatley flows better than stock and is 10x the header than the Powertech I had.

Vis hoods are good, so are Fiber Images. Im sure Stefan has good prices on cf hoods.

As long as you dont go with too big of a wheel on that chassis, I think it will look very nice. Which rotas are you looking at?
(I wish they made the Boost in 4x100...)

AkimboStylee 06-07-2005 12:08 PM

16" slipstreams BRONZE

they y8 was practically given to me, i just had to get it to my house. im going to build it up for boost, and make sure everything is goingto be correct before i swap it. i have got 2 jobs. soon to be 3.
1. Banquet Prep cook at local Hotel ($8/hr) m-f
2. local dj for small events ($125/hr about 3hrs each week, but just got a "sponser" so to speak, and they paid me a hefty bit of money.
3. detail service- $45 a car, a month, $15 extra if they want it waxed, and i have about 4 customers, and soon goinf to ahve the whole block which is about 10 cars, and that is basically my whole weekend. so that is why i want to do this. ramble, ramble, ramble......

well i dunno, the dc sports headers are pretty decent and now i am working on a deal with rs-r exhausts. also i have been thinking about doing cf parts for cars. hoods might not be available till next year.

AkimboStylee 06-07-2005 01:21 PM

what about a lip kit?

ebpda9 06-07-2005 01:24 PM

i will start doing lips and side skirts too soon, when i start making the cf parts.

AkimboStylee 06-07-2005 04:47 PM
