am i the only one?
that can give a shit less about how fast a hybrid car is?
i dont give props to anyone with a H22 in there civic. if he had that power coming from a B or D series motor then i would give him props. dont get wrong tho. i do thinks its pretty cool to do a swap like that. but i dont care how fast or anything about it. it just not the same car anymore. |
eh, i'd only really have a problem if they didn't do any of the work themselves.
|
what about the people who don't really have the resources to pull their own engine?
|
i give em as much props... hybrid cars have been around almost since the begining of the performance industry. i say props to them for going outside the box and getting a new baseline to build from.
|
^i agree.

I'm not aggravated at all by that. Like someone said above, if they didn't do the work themselves (at all) and was boastful about it, I would question the happiness. The sport of building is to modify it yourself..not pay $7000 and have some technician do it.

i would rather see a fully built D series civic run a 10 sec then a H series. i dont know maybe its just me.
|
its cool for them

find a different hobby, or at least be a big part of the help at the shop that does do the swap as in get dirty and actually learn something. |

Well, that part seems to be common sense. WHo wouldn't want to see an original 69hp vehicle make 350 at the wheels? Of course we'd like to see it, however, an H series in a CRX running 10's is still oober cool. It's still respectable in my opinion, but I'd give a tad more props to the 10sec D series. |
Anyone can pull their own engine - just drop it from the bottom and raise the car up over it.
(BTW, I just realized I jumped my build budget w/ nickel and dime stuff by like $200...oops :D ) |
