Sweet moses...I can't hardly believe what arrogant douche bags some people in this country are. It's people like this that give us a bad name virtually everywhere else in the world. People here like to hate France for being arrogant...but I think it's more likely that they look at France and see themselves. For those who haven't been following current events, John Bolton wants to be U.S. embassador to the U.N. For what it's worth, here's what he thinks of the U.N.:

The funny thing is, that I'm sure most people would agree with most of what he said; it is just the fact he said it and the way he said it that makes it so outrageous...

Even if that is the case (and I seriously doubt it is), why would he be the guy you'd appoint as U.S. embassador to the U.N.? He'd be like that one asshole in a group project who sits there and does nothing but complain (there's ALWAYS an asshole like that in group projects). I just find it hard to believe that a majority of Amerika is that arrogant. Regardless of how he said it, the fact that any damn fool would be dumb enough to spit that sort of bullshit out (in public and on camera, no less) is criminally retarded. If he thinks the U.N. is just a puppet of the United States, then why does he want to hold a position there? Maybe the U.N. won't always be on our side...but that's no reason to say they're useless.

Probably just to show how little respect we have for the UN, but fuck em they're pretty much useless anyways.

While I'm not willing to give the U.N. a whole lot of clout, they hit the nail on the head with the whole WMD thing. Aside from that, if we're so indignant towards them, why even pretend like we're participating? I mean, eventually if things continue the way they are we'll be a theocracy anyway so why pay lip service to them if we don't need them? We've pulled out of all sorts of treaties already (Kyoto, anti-ballistic missle treaties...which rules since stability and cleaner air were beginning to be a pain in my ass), so what's one more broken promise? Next thing you know we'll ditch the Geneva Convention and start torturing prisoners. Oh...wait. So this country seems to be blowing smoke up everyone's asses. We're obviously not pussies...we'll get our war on with anything that moves (just ask Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam, Guatemala, El Salvador, Peru, Laos, Cambodia, China, Japan, Yugoslavia, Korea, Panama, and all those other countries that were just asking for it...or something) so what's with all the foreplay? If they're worthless, why are we a part of them? Perhaps we should get up the balls to quit if they're that useless

Besides, you forgot to take into account the migration habits of the Eastern Tiger Salamander.
