Gauge screwed?
i took out my gauge cluster so i could put on my indiglos and then when i put it all back together in the car it didn't work properly. The problem is that right before i turn the car over the needle on the speedo moves up to 60km/h. Why would this be and can i fix it?
almost seems like it has a short and is connecting voltage to the speedo section when the car is turned to "on" or acc

well i looked at all the wires and i guess two of them were touching and now they don't work at all. The needles won't move at all. Any thoughts?
Probably killed a fuse.
Move them back to where theyre supposed to be, find the fuse for the cluster and replace it if blown. Give that a shot |
Not sure its there...Check the ones under the hood
My needle still wiggles while im driving..
is your vss secure?
Yea i looked under the hood and their is no fuse their either? It is wierd because all of the lights work but the needles are all towards the bottom.
someone else probably knows...

indiglos were not a god choice. something always gos wrong with them
so far i haven't had a problem with my ebay special indiglo gauges....i got 'em a while back, when i went through my "ricer" phase and as of now i'd rather get sport the stock ones....

is there anyway to fix this problem. i think this is why its not working. One of the bronze pieces that carry the main power throughout the gauges broke and their is a gap between it.

You can try some conductive paint (radio shack might have it), but there is no guarantee that will work.
might as well just buy a new board. i know i had a short in it a while ago in my teg and i had to replace the thing.
A drop of solder might work....
i tried that too, but it didn't work that great. i made more damage than fix things lol
Id think that'd melt the backing first
