damn, i feel sorry for the guys lose. but i dont really like DSM anyways.at least he was ok.

nitrous is a non-flamable gas. looks more like his motor blew apart while spraying and the oil caught on fire

yeah I thought n2o wasn't flammable and I'm glad the driver is ok

but in any case...

Wren57 04-18-2005 10:41 AM

n2o by itself isn't flammable, but mixed with gasoline it is highly flammable (more flammable than just gasoline)

my guess is he sprayed nitrous, blew a fuel line (probably a wet kit) and the heat of th engine caused it to spark...

sohc_vtec 2NR 04-18-2005 10:48 AM

damn those faulty fuel lines!!

JDMFantasy2k 04-18-2005 11:00 AM

well, actually, n20 is never flamable no matter what you mix it with. its a stable gas. when you compress n2o, it breaks down into (n) and (o2), the nitrous is discarded through your exaust, and the extra oxygen is actually what you are combusting creating more power.

ouch...that sucks...:paranoid:

as far as i know oxigen doesn't burn, only maintains the burn.
