maybe time for a new...
well as some of you may know I wiil be moving out to california this coming november for 3 years of school. now don't get me wrong i love my car, and i have put much into it...but i think for the change in lifestyle I may be needing a newer and larger vehicle.
now my big question is...how much do you think I could get for my car as is. I did check kelly blue book and i figure no less than 2grand (at worst) may go to a dealer and see what they figure trade in value could be too also as far as a new vehicle I'm thinking with photography being my major and the need to possibly haul equipment around a truck or a smaller suv would be a good idea. I've always liked the Toyota Tacoma (more the prerunner v6 but thats alittle pricey). has anyone heard anything about Tacomas (unbiased opinions please) I'll also take suggestions  (but I don't do american made:cool: ) any opinions and/or help would be fantastic:thumbsup: edit* maybe I'll give some specs on my car as i may sell it black 1996 Accord sedan EX VTEC just under 140,000 miles no problems mechanically, sometimes idles rough but i think it's the cold weather in the mornings power everything (locks, mirrors, seat blah blah) Hornet car Alarm my component speakers could be better not sure if i want to sell my subs and amp with car or seperatly moonroof cloth seats red dash trim (could buy a new trim if needed) am/fm radio (I'll hang onto my alpine unit thank you ^_^) cant decide whether or not I'd sell the rims or sell them with the car HP Racing Axle-Back exhaust AEM short ram intake (could put stock intake back in) |

*backhand* Yeah I've driven a v6 tacoma before, seemed alright. :P |
on second thought maybe not....i dont know..i love my car
my main problem is with the terrain of cali, my car shits low and the coilovers are just a pain, plus i think it lowered itself somehow so i may just buy springs that set the car at something like 1.25" drop.... |
keep the car....accords are roomy man....ur just lowww gota watch the roads..and y would u need a bigger vechile? what will u be hauling? i wouldnt sell that baby...unless it was to me:)
equipment and shit, but yeah i guess there's plenty of room..I'm just going to get new springs and raise it up
Dude your car is hot..I dno't think that I would get rid of it at this point in time. In all honesty the car is good on gas..it looks good...it's mech sound...there is a ton of room in those accords..I think I would keep it.
where in cali are you moving?
dude accords are awesome. keep that fucker
Put the accord back to stock and roll it.. Tacos are nice, but sometimes it's better having a four door then a truck.
With that said... I really like the new Frontiers! It would be a toss up because a Taco and a Frontier for me. I want a 4x4, but can't bring myself to wanting the payments that go along with them. I wish I could find a nice low mileage Nissan hardbody 4x4. I love those. |
Keep your car dude! It's too sexy to give up.
If you are going to live in San Francisco, where I live, you better fix that bitch back up. My Teg is lowered about 1.4 inches, pretty low compared to most other lowered vehicles, but my front lip just takes a beating (lucky its urethane).
I like the accord..because it's teh hotness.
However, for a larger vehicle, I'd opt for a 4runner. You can still get a mid-high 90s for decent prices. |
I'm moving to Santa Barbara cali
but i decided that I'm going to just raise my car back up on nuespeed sports (1.25 drop) and not touch her again (or so i saw) thanks for everyone's input, i appreciate it |
dude if you sell the accord i am gonna drive down there and kick your ass till you buy it back.
Buy an Integra. ;)
not violent's one. that one i know for sure it sucks
