I got GT4
 

Well i picked up my reserved copy of GT4 today. It kicks so much ass. And there's so much stuff in it, i played for two hours straight and still can't figure it all out. But it lets you carry over credits from GT3 (only up to 100K in credits) and your a and b licenses. So i purchased an 03 honda ITR (DC5) and did all NA mods, which gave it 300 hp. And it has a photo mode, so i attached a screenshot for you guys. And for whoever says xbox graphics are way better than ps2, fuck you people. For what it is, ps2 is simply amazing. Hell, xbox should wipe my ass seeing it's a computer.

Got it too, used the 110k i started with thanks to my GT3 save to buy a '69 Camaro SS, dumped the rest into the engine heh. Ended up with a 500+ (forget teh exact number) horsepower beast with 753 pounds of torque that handled like shit heh (no money left over for suspension mods. Started over and got a '05 Mustang GT (i know i know), sittin at 505 hp and 566 torque and it handles awesomely O_o

Like I said in the other thread.. getting it Thursday... Unfortunately I never played GT3 so I'll start with a low end car.. hopefully have a silvia or something of that manner shortly though.

damnit damnit..i get paid tomorow and i have thursday off so I can go pick up the copy im hiding for me at circuitcity and spend the day playing it before the skatepark

Yeah it does, but GT4 still looks amazing.

I bought it today... I like it but its to bad I stoped playing Gt3 after I beat it how many years ago... to bad I sold it with my old ps2 also sold the mem with it... so I'm starting over... I have a sklyine 89 its not to shabby....:cool:

I reserved it for my brother and I guess he finally picked it up...says it's better than GT3 and not as boring, but insists that xbox version is "better."

Why is he complaining? It's not like he purchased it.. :|

Xbox version basically = Forza (or Forenza...forget the name...don't own an Xbox and couldn't care less).

Edit: I was in Wal-Mart earlier getting some food and decided to stop by their electronics section (there really aren't any game stores here) and they told me it'll be in on 3/3. WTF? I'm gonna be pissed if I have to wait over a week for it after everyone else gets it.

GT3 was great without online play...I don't see why this is even a problem. I wouldn't play online even if it was capable.

I have gt3 and its still pretty nice. I cant seem to find a reason to shell out $50 for more cars and still only be able to play my buddies when they come over.

I'm gonna get up on xlink and play online that way once i build up my garage a bit more. It's a program that tricks your ps2 into thinking it's hooked up to another ps2 so you can play online heh.

word I went to walmart last night and they said the same thing.. so hopefully the stores in the mall have it come this thursday :mad:

Online play is going to come out not soon but is going to come out later this year, on another version of GT4 so if that’s what you want just wait. But I'll tell you the game is truly pretty bad ass! :yes:

XLINK is running GT4 online. go to xline.com and DL it then buy the damn game. im plaing on line right now with Prelude Si vtec and my Toyota MR-2.

But GT4 is amazing itself. I bought mine yesterday, and I started with a WRX STi, tuned it up to 414HP (forgot torque). The cars in this game is way harder to control than in GT3.

yeah i think they've made it too realistic, it's starting to get to me. I miss my GT3 skyline that would rail a corner at 100;(

i mean honestly, i think my civic can take some corners faster than my cars in GT4

I'm not sure guys I've been playing for 2 days now I have about a good 2 1/2 hours in and so far so good....:cool: I do wish it had online play though at least there going to release online play later on in the year:)

haha i restarted and bought a early 90's supra..so much better than that honda pos lol

this is a pic I took of my Cien with 900+ horses...if i had the right usb cable or a thumbdrive even I'd load a quality picture but still the graphics are well worth 50 bucks alone not to mention the amount of cars and tracks

yeah i restarted too. Seriously, that skyline i had couldn't turn over 40 mph, and my ITR could only run a 14.5 and that was after 100K invested. So now i got myself a nice "previously owned" NSX:yes:

what? if you're talking about the picture than it's cause i own...that and i took several pictures of my tv and that was the only one that came out without those damn scan lines from the tv

If this isn't online capable, why is there a box in the options menu for "LAN settings"? Is that so you can link other PS2s to yours? Thought that was odd. As for the game being harder...I don't think so. Some of the cars are twitchy and require more driver input, but I'm breezing through this biatch. The only thing that's pissing me off are some of the license tests. Like the 10 minute run around the Numburing in a twitchy ass Mercedes at 150mph. You get an inch into the grass after 9 minutes of driving and you're fucked. Or if you brush against a wall. Horseshit. However, the 505hp '05 Mustang I started with is raping races left and right. This game owns you...online play or not.

This is the only place where I have heard anything negative about it. I haven't played it yet. I do own it. But I don't have time to play it due to school and shit. But as soon as I'm done some of these papers and some tests. I'll be playing it like crazy. I'll get some cool screen shots for you guys.
