mini me swap.
I have a 1989 honda civic hatchback.1.5 liter non vtec,I was wondering how hard it would be to do the vtec head swap. What all do i need?

go buy the latest (march i believe) issue of honda tuning. They have an awesome write up on it there. It's kinda similar to ls/vtec i guess you could say, but they also suggest changing transmissions so you can have the ex/si gear ratio's to accomodate the powerband.

its even easier than ls/vtec since theres no oil lines and stuff to worry about.
|
The first swap I did was a mini me. As from what I remember, you need a sohc head, 92-95 head gasket, civic/crx si ecu, convert from dual to multi point, civic/crx si distributor, civic/crx injectors and a vtec controller.
As far as difficulty, if I can do it..you can do it! :D |
Lyna gots it.
