damnit!
so after a long 2 years of waiting I have been able to collect rims and just today have received my brand new kumho tires. everything is set for me to slap them on except for one minor detail. a few weeks back my friend was trying to loosen a lugnut and the stud snapped straight off the car.
basically i have a total of 3 lugs on my driver front wheel. I went ttoday to get prices on the replacement of these damn things and it turns out it will cost me AT LEAST $200.......talk about a let-down. so now I will have to wait another 2 weeks (hopefully at most) to get these rims on the accord. god damn Honda for being one of the few companies to put press-on rotors on the accord. and what makes me even more depressed is if the stud had broken off the back tires it'd cost me a total of a whooping $45 to get fixed.....no ..no honda wanted to make life difficult and put press-on rotors on the front and floating on the rear..WHYYYYYYY WHY WHY WHY HONDA?!?!?! ...I'M dont ranting........no more amberbock for me...i'm going to sleep |
aw man I was about to give advice and them remembered the crazy pressed on rotors. What a dumb idea...I never understood that.
Do you think it could be cheaper somewhere else? Non-honda? |
dude it's so easy to fix that. just remove the caliper and move the broken stud where the caliper used to be. then just hammer it out with a rod or something. then insert the new stud in and tighten the lug nut till it is in place. then reassemble everything.

dude that was non Honda..I checked 3 non honda places..I'm sure Honda would charge somethign ridiculous like $300 or $400. Stefan I already tried to get at it and that shit is way too hard for me to do.*sigh* |
