Integra
Sorry, since the Integra forum is so dead I have to post it here.
Got a question, what is the difference between a 94-97 Integra and a 98-01 Integra? I'm going to buy one but my friend brought up the topic of there being a difference...I've checked the engine specs and appearance...same thing..give me some help plz? |
same thing as the 96-98 civics and the 99-00
Not much the front is different, so are the tails. the 98+ is also obd2 where -97 is obd1 |
94-95 are OBD1
96-01 are OBD2 |
there are a few cosmetic differences that i wasn't able to quite catch on. the bumpers are different and the tailights. also the rear quarter pamels are a bit different. i know a friend of mine needed the hatch for a 98 and he ended up with a 95 or so and it won't close the way it should.

Whats an obd? obd 1 and 2??
|
"on board diagnostics" basically the higher the number the more control the cars computer has.

huh I was sure the integra had leaked obd1 through 97
|
i think it was mandated by the government for everyone to have it in '96. unless Honda had a way to get around that?
|
nope, it is 96.
Now Im wondering where I saw that to begin with |
why would the government mandate that? i'm assuming OBD2 is sticter about emissions?
|
Yeah, obd2 is the dumber, more literal follower of the obd family. Had to do with stricter laws
|
One more question, the Integra's front end has 4 lights, but I've only noticed that two of them are actually used. What are the other 2 for?
|
1 set for high beams
1 set for lows |
unless you get super-sexy JDM teg front end
|
with HIDs.
|
and city lights:yes:
