t3/t4 hybrid. i dunno any ar's tho, but i am sure a .58-.60 would be enough for both power and less lag

That sounds about right. The T3/T4 setup is a workhorse among just about all turbo setups. You might also check out Garrett's line of GT series turbos made for sport compacts. They're a little smaller, I believe, but they should work really well unless you're looking for enough tom power to grenade a halfshaft or two.

you'd be better off with a mid-size turbo like the t3/t4 versus a straight t3 IMO. Seeing you're building a b18c1 (which should rev to around 9K) it'll be a little better having a little bigger turbo even if you run lo boost at first. Then you can up the boost and it'll fulfill it's task nicely versus a regular t3 would probably be outgunned quickly on that setup.

i heard the HX turbos are PIMP for D and B series motors.

What kind of build are you talking about? Piston size and compression ratio target? Power expectation?

I've been there man. T3T04 hybrid is a good option. I'll be using a Precission SC61 this time tho.

well i sold the hatch for 2400 and am buying a 2000 si, so i am a little broke right now, and i hated to see the project scraped.

dangggg...... you would've loved boost....

i know, but the shop where the motor was being built, was broken into, and the people that broke into the shop stole my motor, so the guy gave me the money back, so i sold the car cause my parents wanted me to get a more reliable car, which is where the 2000 si comes in, 9995, after 2000 down, i will post pics of the car here in a sec, it sucks cause it has a body kit, but it actually looks nice, and the carbon fiber hood, is getting swapped for an oem cf hood. look in the pictures thread for the car!

ebpda9 11-22-2004 11:27 AM

yeah, i just looked at that thread. the problem is those cars are stolen soo much. just be carefull with it.
