Work doing OK one VERY COOL Perk Coming up.

Well we've actually been selling a decent amount of crap... 3500 last week and over 7k this week...

But today something VERY nice came in...

We got a Z06 03 I think... not sure I'll check tomorrow... but I off handedly go to my boss (owner's brother)...

"when am I gunna get to drive the z06"

He goes... "I guess when it's done"...

So I get to go beat the life out of a z06 in a couple weeks/months... depending on when it gets done...

That should be fun... never driven a vette..

That thing better be fast or I'll be PISSED... and ready to go rag on it EVERYWHERE.

I drove a Z06 around the block a couple years back. I was impressed, but not $50K worth of impressed. Maybe if I'd have gotten to drive it like it's meant to be driven (like on an autocross course) I would've appreciated it more. I did, however, run it like a scalded dog and the engine was pretty impressive...but not as smooth as Ford's OHC V8s.

the new ones are supposed to be the "ultimate" vet. 400 hp 1.7 1/4 and under 45k:thumbsup: gets my vote as a car I would buy if I had the money

Actually the base base BASE models will be going for just over $44K MSRP. And apparently there's no performance package for the '05 models except suspension packages? But the Z51 suspension package does come with "performance tuned" tires.

what do you mean base base base...is that like a civic dx....heh. I mean one with the shittiest motor and no stereo type of base base base?

GT40FIED 08-19-2004 07:55 PM

Well...that one is a coupe that doesn't come with a lot of things I'd expect if I was shelling out $44K for a car. Things like power seats and whatnot (there's only one enginem though...no options). I'm not sure about the stereo...but the option that puts you up to a little over $48K gives you an AM/FM CD player with MP3 playback and an in dash 6 disc changer. Although the $48K package includes a heads up display and a dot matrix read out and G meter for track use...which is pretty cool. I fiddled with the price and figured what I'd want on the car if I were driving it and came out to just over $54K. Wow...GM's got some balls asking that for any car.

our's says "407 hp" on the side underneith the z06 symbol... It should be fun..

And I have lots of built up anger at my job so I have no problems driving it like it was stolen...

cashizslick 08-21-2004 07:32 PM

sweet, drive by my house in SPFLD and lemme drive it

nonovurbizniz 08-25-2004 10:59 PM

bah... at this point I don't know if I'll still be working there by the time they finish it...

And knowing the way they "fix" cars I don't know that I'd want to drive it.

Place is so upside down it's rediculous...
