Task Manager

When i bought this computer at best buy, i got a discount on it cuz it was the display computer. Whenever i hit ctrl+alt+del a message pops up and says that task manager has been disabled by the administrator. anyone know how I can enable it?

Considering you are asking this question you might just call them up and ask them so they can tell you how to turn it back on.

Otherwise, if you're good with computers format

did they give you a copy of your OS, or was it preloaded? If you format and have nothing to put back on, you're screwed.

He would probably have a hard time formatting his computer with it running, but you do raise a good point as to if he's got software on it that he doesn't have cd's for.

i would really like to avoid calling Best buy if at all possible there customer service is some of the worst i have ever seen.

and i fine with the computer how it is but its just annoying whenever i try to end a program or something and the task manager is disabled

well if you ever need to reload (which you'll probably end up doing in a few months) you'll need that cd that I'm guessing they didn't give you. I'd call up sooner rather than later and make sure you get that.

if it were me, not having full administrator access to my own computer is unacceptable. I'd reload, or call them and make them deal with it.

try running rsop.msc, see if that shows something
