Cell Phone Users REPORT!
 

I'm putting together a little site for ringer downloads, screensavers, information, etc. and I'm trying to get an idea of what phones & service people are using.

So give me some feedback. Here's what I'm looking for:

-Carrier (i.e. - Sprint, Nextel, etc)
-Phone Type (Make & Model)
-Web Enabled (full web browsing, ability to get ringtones, etc)

I just need to get an idea of what phones are out there so I can loko into supporting them. I already have Sprint figured out. So I need to work on some of the other carriers.

Also, if there's anything in particular you think you could benefit from let me know.

Is your site going to be like www.3gforfree.com? I like it but Im not sure if my phone works there or not...
You can upload your own ringers and images to the site and then dl them to your phone for free, minus the cost of the to-cell-transfer.

Its free to download from you phone. Its not free to upload to 3gforfree and then download it to your phone.

I don't plan on charging for uploading your own media. It will be a free site.;)

As of now, I have Sprint ready to roll. I'm working on more carriers now. Cingular looks like a pretty popular one so far. So that's likely to be next on my list.

Strange that you say that though...my buddy who told me about it gets things all the time and never pays anything but the actual phone charge.

Thanks for the replies... I'm pretty amazed at the responses I've gotten so far( this site & others). :)

I'm working on adding some features to the site now (search by artist, title, anything; personal content storage). Cingular, T-Mobile & AT&T are just about ready to roll out.

I'll keep you all posted on this if you want.

For some reason it never notifies me when i get replies:confused:, so i'll try to check back more often for replies.

It held up pretty well tho when I dropped it a few times I usually managed to have it hit/roll down my leg so it didn't hit the ground directly but it was usually just in my pocket or in my glove box sucks you lost it if I had a chance I'd take one again over the one I got

Nokia 8930. Crappy, crappy, crappy GSM phones that get no reception and are like 3 inches long..and happen to be very cute looking. :cool:

I use Verizon. They're the only ones who won't charge me for roaming in this backwards podunk town. And believe me, I checked around. As for the phone...it's a shitty Kyocera 2325. I'm sure it has internet capabilities, but with such a shitty phone, who cares?
