Just wanted to share that I put in for orders to go to either Italy, Germany, England, or Hawaii...I won't know what I'll get until October...I can't wait to find out where I'll go next...I need a change of environment...

is that with the army ?

I've been to the Air Force base in Italy.... I think it was in sicily.... cant remember exactly. That place sucked. Granted there were many bars outside and cheap stores... but I just cant see myself living there for a whole tour. I think England will be the best since people already speak english. I had a hard time anywhere else in the whole that doesnt speak english... but that's just me. Hawaii is expensive but us Navy guys get extra cash while stationed there... I think AF has something similar to that incentive.... Goodluck!:)

Are you talking about Aviano? That's the AFB in Italy...why'd it suck? I heard it was beautiful there...wow...I never expected someone to say that it sucked.

Yes, it is beautiful.... some areas are. The country side is always the best place to see anywhere in europe. The city itself is ok. You might like it. I was only there for a week and you know what sailors do when we hit ports. We seem to find the cheapest and rowdiest bar in the world..... so half the time I was there, I was mostlikely drunk :drunk:.

What asbout Germany? Germany is more expensive than Hawaii.

i wish i could get stationed in europe... not much need for me there. ah well. that's really awesome if you get any of those stations :yes:

I hear you on the needing a change of scenery thats why in about a month and a halfish Im moving out of Cal and going to Az, and I got 2 other very good reasons for leaving one being school, and the other is my sis. being pregnant with her first

I really hope for Italy...that's where I really want to go...then Germany comes second. Im just waiting for October to come by so that I'll know whether I get orders or not...I could even go to Japan but I have no desire, at all, to want to go to Japan for some reason. People tell me that it's a very beautiful place and the people are very kind but I just have no desire to go there...Hawaii would be nice as well...

I went to Aviano once and didn't really care for it. In fact none of my family really cared for it. But it was also insanely hot at the time we went.

Germany has some nice places and so does the UK. Overall I think UK is a great place to be stationed, and it's close enough to get around the continent on long weekends or weeklong trips.

Definately...that's why I wanna get to Europe...so that I can be kinda close to everything...like Paris and Rome and all those places...
