Well i was chillin wit a friend and was on my way home, and instead of going right home i decided to cruise the highway for a lil while.

So i'm just crusing debating on doing a speed run since it was dead out when i pass this galant. Looks all stock and some kid in his 20's driving and there a passenger i believe. I think nothing of it until he flags me with his high beams.

So i drop 4th to get some sound going and a lil torque and we run a little. Nothing major.

Then we hit a nice 1 mile stretch. I let him get the best of me because i knew his ass was toast, so i give him a lil head start and then comes 3rd gear..

then i speed-shift into 4th, balls to the walls and then i hit about a buck five and shut it down with a good 5 cars on him. The cool part is we cruised even after that and he didn't seem like an ass and then we beeped our horns and i exited off the highway and went home.

Now the funny part is when my mom came home after me that night she said the highway was swarmed with cops. She said she saw one sitting looking for cars and another one had pulled someone over and had them out of the car.... wonder why....

yeah we were basically just fucking around, no need to be an asshole every time you race, only to the haters;)

oh and i think we should nominate vr4_craver to modrate this forum since he's pratically the only one who posts in it!

haha good sports rock thats for sure. I watched my friend in his RX-7 TT race a boosted eclipse on the way to meet up with a few at the billiards. the rx slaughtered the eclipse without trying. good kill, what does a galant have in terms of horses?

about the same as a DX civic depending on year.

nah the galants where the "family flagship" for mitsu for a while...then came the....well I dont know what came next. The VR-4's are supposed to be rather nasty but I always see the 3kgt vr-4's

i thought the galants had like 180ish horse v6's in them and the diamante was the highend sedan no?

nah new diamante's basemodel pushes 205horses 231torque
a new basemodel galant pushes 160horses and 157 torque
the v6 galant is going at 230hp and250lbs of torque, but these are 2004 specs so I'm sure it upped over the years

i know a new VTEC i4 accord DX is pushing out 160hp and 161 lbs of torque compared to my 145hp 147lbs :mad: :mad: :mad:

1990: 135HP 125TQ AWD Turbo Dohc
1993: 121HP 120TQ FWD Sohc
1996: 141HP 148TQ FWD Sohc

No im saying that The first civic came out with what 77 hp? That was top o' line then. Stand are like that also. Not bashing them but cars just obviuosly get better with time.....thats what I was sayin
