Buick GN vs. R6
I was headed south on one of our great freeways when I see this TT GN. How do I know it was a TT? They were sticking out of the hood. I was already thinking "Wow, this guy is gonna eat my lunch and then steal my dinner too." I tried anyway. I shifted all the way down into 1st and we did a 70 punch. I was stayin with him. Then his turbos spooled up. I backed off the throttle because the turbo whine was the loudest highest piched thing I had ever heard in my life. Not that I would have been able to keep up anyway. This car had 1217 at the wheels before nitrous. I know what you are thinking, yeah right. I saw the printout from the dyno. He was on the street because he just finished tuning it.
He left me like I was racing in the other direction. I got smoked bad. J |
haha well i like people who admit they got smoked. must have been a nasty sight/sound, although i'm not a fan of GN's.

bah! Anything that puts 1200+ at the wheels im a fan of....hell it could be a metro  i would still be a fan:yes: ;) |
Ok...1217hp at the wheels equals almost exactly 1400 engine hp given your standard 15% powertrain loss (but I'm being generous...he's probably got some huge power-sucking auto tanny and rear end to handle that power). Under absolutely no circumstances would I drive a car like that on the street. Hell...I'm suprised it even ran in a street environment. Mad props for a twin turbo V8 GN (face...there's no way a stock or even race prepped GM V6 block is handling that much power), but that's just dumb to drive it around the streets.

When the turbo's spooled I heard nothing except turbo. No exhaust, no wind, nothing. I thought my head would explode. It was that loud. I have never been beaten that badly before in my entire life. I haven't even beaten anyone like that before. That says alot.
