Odd suspension changes I dunno what to say about this but lately my car saw a raise in suspension. Actually i have a 4" fender gap on my 14" dubs ;). Why is that ? I know when shocks are about to give out the car tends to lower itslef, getting a lot of bottoming out. well none of this happens. WTF is this ? |
maybe something is stuck or something..........doesnt make sense to me, if the shocks were near the point of being blown theyd lower the car, not raise it. |
 Don't Accords come with a 4"+ gap? ;) |

No work on the suspension. never. plus i have a ton of crap in my trunk and still sitting high. yep i think i forgot the jackstands underneath the car. Proof the pic below http://www.hondastyle.com/forums/att...=&postid=19630 |

no i'm wrong. this morning it bottomed out for the first time. Any good and cheap suspension upgrades. I want it stiff. |
Sorry, but good and cheap don't go in the same sentence when talking suspensions (or car parts in general). Can you give us a ballpark figure on what you're looking to spend? |
not too much. it all depends on how good people tip. I might look up to $700 for suspension. |

$700? You could get a set of KONI Reds(non-adjustable) for about $300 shipped. Add a set of Eibach Sportlines or Pro-kits for about an additional $220. So for around $520 you can have a good setup with some cash to spare. Check out www.shox.com for a price quote(free shipping too!). |
well thanks for the link. today i analized my budget and figured out that i can spoend no mre than 550 for a new suspension. i was talking to the summit racing guys and they gave ma quate for KYB shocks $70 a shock plus eibach pro kits for 220 plus tax, so i'll go for a grand total of 520, installation not included. i had this in mind also http://modacar.com/honda/frameset_su...kage_honda.htm option 1 or 2. 10x for your help |

Who is Gold Line springs? I would do the KYBs & Eibahcs. Both are good components. |
that is the first time i hear about them. well i made up my mind: Koni "Reds" $308.00 Eibach springs (lowers 1.2" or 1.8") $179.00 the 1.2" version. how does it sound ? Summit racing has the KYB's for $70 a piece (don't know what model yet (i guess gr-2) and the springs are $225 |
doesnt sound to bad to me.. |
I think you'll be pretty happy with the Koni/Eibach combo. |

i need a firm suspension without bouncing. so this Koni/eibach will be what i'm looking for ? |
 Quote:
Both are quality components. If I could get my damn allen bolt out I'd let you know the ride comfort(I have the KONI adjustables & Eibach Sportlines). |
is koni red an adjustable ? |
 Quote:
No. The adjustables(Sports) will run you about $540. |
 Quote:
I thought the reds were internally adjustable??? You'd have to remove them to adjust, but... I may be wrong. Anyone else know? |
 Quote:
The Reds are not adjustable. At least from what I've read. I have no first hand experience on that. The guys at Shox.com said they weren't. :bandit: |
