So I just got 3 tickets in 30 minutes on my way to work.
 

I'm really pissed.

I'm driving to work, and about to get on the highway. However, I accidently turn onto the Outer Road that runs parallel to the highway, because the turns are right next to each other. So I'm like "crap!" and I try to drive through the median back onto the highway onramp.

A guy driving a red Mustang GT stops in front of me so I can't get on and pulls out his cell phone. Obviously, I shouldn't hang around, so I backed away and got back on the outer road and kept driving like nothing happened.

But...I get pulled over anyway - by 3 cop cars. They say "Another driver says you hit him while attempting to enter the highway." WHAT!?!?!? I didn't hit this guy!!!! What the crap is going on...ok so anyway, 5 cops come and look at the front of my car to try to find ANY proof that I hit him. FIVE cops....

They find nothing but apparently the Mustang driver has
"damage to his front-right quarter-panel", so I get three tickets - two of them related to the incident, and one Extra Bonus thrown in for kicks.

1) Not displaying a front license plate - HELLO...there isn't anywhere to attach it on the front of the Jeep - they didn't make a mount for it!

2) Reckless driving - It wasn't reckless...I just turned the wrong way and I needed to get back on the highway

3) Leaving the scene of an accident - THERE WASN'T A FREAKING ACCIDENT...I didnt' even touch the guys car...he probably just wants insurance to cover something that he did himself a while ago.

Anyway, sorry to rant guys, but that really pisses me off. Now I'm going to have to pay my lawyer a bazillion dollars to get all this off my record.

There is a spot to mount the plate in the front...it goes between the bulges....a mount kit is available at the dealer...or just buy one at autoshits

Even if you cant find a spot...drill some holes and use regular nuts and bolts.

The wreckless driving...you might have to take that...but the accident report, you should fight if nothing happened

You're probably screwed on the plate and rackless driving... but if you didn't hit him, fight the accident!!!

Even then..with the reckless driving, ask for proof that you were driving reckless? Go ask for pictures, or video's or skid marks, or anything. Admit to the licence plate one. Say it was your fault for that one, but the other ones I would fight to the fucking bone.

Fight that sh1t man, you may be able to fight the reckless driving, but you definatly need to fight the accident, and if you lose one word and it's Molatav (sp?)

i cant beleive they are trying to pin an accident on you where you have no damage on your car yet the other one sounds fucked up. its called elementry physics. if 2 objects make contact of about the same density(crash away bumpers etc) then they both should show SOME dmg. expecially if one missing paint, it had to go somewhere.

If he stopped in front of you, I'm assuming you were facing his trunk... so how did he claim quarter panel damage?

^ I'd have to agree to some point if he stoped in front of you you would be facing the driverside of his car correct (not necessarly his trunk but possibly) so how did you hit his right (passinger side) fender or quater-panel figuring you had been driving on the correct side of the street (not to imply you weren't)

I thought that is what they are for.....maybe i am wrong. Fight all that shit its bull. Tell thenm you want the guy you "hit" to go to court too and take pictures and the testimony of the FIVE cops that looked at your car. If that guy did have an accident then obviusly they took a report about.

Well, here's the thing.

1) I used the emergency crossing to get onto the highway - I wasn't driving recklessly. I was driving under 5 miles an hour, and I was waiting to get on the highway.

2) This guy parked in front of me, so that my bumper was facing his passenger-side door. But I swear on all that is good and holy that I DID NOT HIT HIM. He is making that crap up.

I talked to my lawyer, and he said that the whole thing sounded pretty weird - so I'm going to fight it.
