Check This Out

Must have Macromedia Flash to view.

I'm told this is real- NO tricks- photographic or otherwise, though it did take over 600 takes to get it right.

Yeah... I've seen that all over the web. It was mentioned that it took them forever to get it right

Interesting stuff but i doubt it is real. When you look at the tires there is no way in hell it would of went up that ramp. but still pretty interesting.

I don't think those wheels/tires could roll up a grade like that..

pdiggitydogg 05-13-2004 09:50 PM

they would if the ramp was made of 2 split bars like a V shape
things will then roll up hill if the angle is at the bottom and the space at the top
try it

The wheels were weighted in one side, then placed so the center of gravity was neutral, but on top. When a force comes from the side, it causes the COG to displace, and the wheel rolls, coming to rest where the COG at the bottom. It works- my physics professor actually showed this link in class, then did the wheels rolling uphill demo to disprove all the non-believers.

repost from a while back and I remeber everyone was skeptical, still fcking amazing, i want to see this thing happen, this whole ramp thing

WOW!
that's cool!
That the only part that I was having a hard time believing!

^yeah me too. I doubt its real.

esthirteen 05-14-2004 08:54 AM

thats pretty awesome if it is really real.

ChrisCantSkate 05-14-2004 09:50 AM

yeah i remeber this from a few months ago, its real. took them forever to setup right, but looks amazing

CD5Passion 05-14-2004 02:08 PM

physics is an amazing thing
