rich kid and his girl lose
This happened a few weeks ago but here it is. I was out riding around in my GTP when I see HID lights ,of what I thought was a BMW, cutting through traffic and coming up on me. As fate would have it I got stopped at a light he cuts a car off and get beside me. It wasn't a BMW but a Lincoln LS. There was a rich little punk and his girl. I knew he was gonna go for it so I put my car in 2nd(auto) and wait for it. When it went green I stomped on it and destroyed him. We got caught at the next light just a little ways down and he wanted to go again. This time I stayed even with him and messed with him a little.(step on gas,let off) Then I left him when I let off he came flying by me like I knew he would. Stupid rich kid.

2, 3 drive .... there prob is no first. Am i right? |
I don't know about his car specifically, but in almost every auto I've been in there is L23DR, with low being first gear. If you leave it in drive, it starts you in first anyway, so why not just do that.
<- still doesn't add up Not tryin to rag on your kill, just confused. |
blah

actually mine doesn't. if i throw it in third my tranny shifts a bit sportier, and most of the gm's are like PRN D21 |
Nice kill bro
|
It does have a first gear, but if I put it in first an gun it the engine sounds like crap. Plus I didn't think I would need all the power of the first gear. If I put it in second and turn on performance shift it will shift out of first in high RPMs (but no redline) and stay in second until I change the gears. Plus with the SC, it goes through first very quickly and I don't think it's too good for the engine.

Gotcha... good kill.

so... it shifting high would be the same as if you put it in first right? ehh...i dont know you should have just put it in first because either way in 2nd 3rd or drive you will have to get through first first and it will probably shift at about that same anyway |
well the LS must have been their v6.
Your car should have 240hp and 290tq and his car should be in the area of 235hp and if it was the 3.9 v8 then i believe its closer to 300hp. What you saw was the benifit of low end tq. Contrants but I believe your 2nd gives you 1 and 2 and unless you can push it pass redline it wouldnt make a different what gear you started off in. Unless ofcourse like some of the acuras/hondas 2nd is really just 2nd gear, but in your car it isnt. Nice kill, just because he's a rich boy making more money then you or spending all his money on a nicer car then yours doesnt make this kill any sweater. Bashing on rich people is pathetic (sp?) makes you come off jealous and enveous. |
was a V6 LS or a V8?
|
Nice Kill.
|
I guess it was a V6. I thought they all were 6's?
|
not all too sure about the models and engine sizes and all but nice kill but no ragin on rich people, i hate that shit everyone says I'm a rich kid....course it doesnt help that my parents bought me the accord:paranoid:

Nope...there's a small V8 crammed into some of them. Then there's the Roush LS. Now THAT thing would hand you your ass. Even with the V8, it's an OHC motor vs. your deathless 3.8L pushrod motor with an Eaton (isn't that what GM uses?) blower so you'd still have the low end on him. The V8s aren't quite 300hp...I think it's more like 280 or 290...but he woulda pulled you on the top end. |
