English is the hardest language to learn if you wern't born here. We have soo many words for one thing not excluding slang terms also.

IALuder 05-05-2004 11:57 AM

Umm English is actually not the hardest language to learn if you weren't born in north america. There are far harder languages like arabic, japanese, chinese etc. Many other languages have much harder grammar than english does.

pdiggitydogg 05-05-2004 12:48 PM

japanese is at least constant.

The example I meant was "a shelter for dwelling", we describe that as house, duplex, apartment, shack, mansion, cabin, tent, townhouse, condo, crib, etc, even a hotel or a motel, they all mean the same main thing but are all different respectively.

It wasnt that hard to learn the language when i came here. It took me about a total of 6-7 months to speak it fluently tho sometimes i couldn't get out the right word i was trying to say. There are by far harder languages then english i can tell u that much.
